Marcie’s work started prior to her Master’s in Social Work with experience in community prevention and community reentry for incarcerated men. Since getting her degree from Fordham University in 1984, she has worked with individuals recovering from substance abuse, clients in need of residential support, person’s with prolonged mental illness, health services, quality assurance, organizational consulting and behavioral health for children and adults.

Since 2014 she has been specializing in services to the Elder services ensuring that they are able to find the resources that they  need and are supported in finding a joyful path. She provides psychotherapy and Geriatric Care Management through a private practice.

Marcie Dimenstein, LCSW provides clinical supervision to Social Workers working toward licensure. She also provides ongoing supervision and consultation to all clinicians.

Clinical Supervision

She provides supervision for a number of individuals who are either students in their MSW program or are seeking licensure. Also available is supervision for individuals who are looking for supports in their private practice. In addition she provides training on clinical issues including documentation, risk management and HIPAA. Supervision is provided in Hamden and Milford, CT.

Speaking Engagements

She presents on a number of topics including Getting Back to Joy: From Grief and Guilt, Introduction to Dementia, Living with Disability, How to Have Difficult Conversations with Your Parents and is available for your group or organization. All of Marcie’s presentations are available through preferred “virtual”communication methods.
